Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

This guide will help players solve all the upright device puzzles in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's Makasura Shrine

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's Makasura Shrine is called "An Upright Device," and it is overlooking Kakariko Village from coordinates 1770, -1051, 0166. To complete this Shrine, players must use Stabilizers, Zonai devices that stand upright when activated, to solve a series of puzzles. This guide is here to assist with that endeavor, and the solutions to all the Makasura Shrine puzzles in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom can be found below.

Upon entering the Makasura Shrine, players should walk forward until they run into the wall that is ahead. Fans should then use TotK's Ascend ability to reach the Shrine's next level, and it is there that they will find a metal platform with a Stabilizer. Players should now activate this Stabilizer by hitting the attached platform, climb to the ledge at the top, and use the paraglider to cross the gap.

On the other side of the gap, players will find another platform with a Stabilizer, which they should grab with TotK's Ultrahand ability. Fans should then swing the platform to the left, place it near to the fence, and strike it to send it upright. With the platform in this upright position, players should climb to the ledge at the top and jump to reach the other side of the fence.

There are three objects on this side, and players should begin by using Ultrahand to attach the Stabilizer to the bottom of the metal platform. Fans should then grab the platform and spin it so that its Stabilizer is pointed toward the back wall. Once the platform is in this configuration, players should stand in the bowl and strike the metal to launch Link onto a ledge with a Fairy Tonic-containing chest.

Tears of the Kingdom players should now leave the ledge, use Ultrahand to attach the orb to the top of the platform, and then move the apparatus close to the fence. Fans should then use Ascend to get on top of the fence, grab the orb with Ultrahand, unstick it, and drop it into the hole in the center of the room.

This action will cause a nearby gate to retract, giving players access to a metal platform with a bowl. This platform is to be attached to the top of Stabilized platform, though players will need to deactivate the Stabilizer by hitting it before the attachment can be made. Once the two platforms are connected to one another, players should position them near the large chasm, stand in the bowl, and strike the platform to catapult Link to the end of this TotK Shrine.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for the Nintendo Switch.
